Hi i dont know if anyone will know but is an Association of Certified IT Professionals (ACITP) Certificate in Visual Basic programming a good quailfication in Visual basic programming.
I would probably rather see a college course taken in it, or previous experience using it. I don't think an ACITP could really hurt, but I doubt I would consider it too highly as it doesn't seem to have any details on the site about what it entails.
Yer but if/when i pass i also become a certified sun java programmer is that good. Sorry for all the questions but i need to know before enroling in the course.
Honestly ACITP doesn't seem like a site I would trust. Try something like an MCPD from Microsoft. http://www.microsoft.com/learning/mcp/default.mspx
from someone from the software/it industry, i can tell you that if you want credentials for visual basic, go for microsoft certification. i suggest mcsd - microsoft certified software developer - 2 of the core modules will be in visual basic. that's the one you should target for.
I agree with daboss on this. Anyone who is going to care about certifications in this area will be looking for MCP or MCSD.
