Hello. Does anyone have Vista? I would like to know if it slows down your computer. I'm thinking about upgrading and I don't want a slow system. I have 1 gig a ram and a good video card and processor, but someone told me that it still slows your computer down a bit. Is this true?

I have vista and it seems pretty fast to me. I don't think it is any slower than XP. However, with 1G RAM, it might chug it some. I hear that you should have at least 2G. Also if you have a good video card, that should help.
I've got an ok video card and 4G RAM and it runs fine :)

It's not that bad. I have a 1.6GHz dual-core Intel processor, 1GB of RAM and a 256-ish video card and it works fine on my laptop. I don't see much of a speed difference between it and Windows XP.

I used Vista for a day and I couldn't stand how slow it was. I had to switch back to 2000.

4 Gig of RAM? You must use a MAC.
