Vista User Password Recovery/Override?

Ok so my machine locked me out, and I can't get back in. I leave it on all the time, and it usually just goes into sleep mode. This morning when I go to "wake it up" by moving the mouse, it's on the user login screen. Well, I'm the only user, and I never set a password...And I didn't log out...

I called Dell, and the guy told me that there is no way to override the password on Vista. I can't login to safemode either.

I downloaded a free password cracker called ophcrack but when I load it into the driver, nothing happens obviously because I can't run the program...

Can ANYONE help me? I'll pay pal $50 to anyone who can help fix this.

not an expert in the matter but unless you created one of those password recovery drives you cant override it. However, i think if you install linux on a parition or another drive and boot that you can gain access to your files which you can backup (only done it with xp...still untested with vista).

Yeah, I'd also like to see that as I don't believe there's a simple overide ... it will make user accounts and passwords and computer security pointless
