Vista has a pretty design, and that's about it. It was giving me quite some headaches. It would just shut down or crash randomly. Trying to fix errors in task manager and it just won't respond. XP is not perfect, but it's a better system probably because it has a few years of experience.

Yeah, right. LOL! Why every anti-Vista guy must mention Linux? We (Windows fans) come to your Linux threads and fill them with Windows slogans?

These threads anger me because people simply fear change and have crappy computers. You vista haters need to man up, and get better pc's or go get a mac.

For Vista's crashes, it's not just Microsoft's fault (just ~20%):

Which explains a LOT of my 'issues' trying to use vista, and why it ran like crap and crashed more often than firefux. (which is quite an accomplishment)

nVidia 680i Chipset mainboard, TWO Ge8 series video cards (NOT running SLI, driving three displays) - I'm just begging for failures under vista by using modern up to date hardware ;)

I also discovered that just as my 750 gig samsung drive doesn't like NCQ under XP on the nVidia chipset SATA controller, it appears NONE of my higher capacity SATA hard drives run properly under Vista with NCQ (Native Command Queing) turned on.... in fact the only drive that runs properly seems to be an old SATA1 160 gig WD - that's starting to show bad sectors. (No shame to it, it's got five years continuous use on it)

So it's a driver thing - go figure.

Well, a lot of crashes are due driver problems, so that's what a BSOD is. Driver failure. So anyone that blaims Microsoft is really unrealistic.

The drivers support for Vista was really horrendous when it was first released. I don't know if MS has fixed the problem yet, but they've already missed the boat with this one.
