It doesn't mean that people don't like it. Just means it's overpriced, and there arent many new features in it to pay a couple hundred. If Microsoft didn't over charge then it'd be selling fast. Vista doesn't suck. just isnt worth it i love vista, but i wouldn't buy it. Came with my new pc :d If the price was reasonable then i would.
nah, it just sucks People dont like change. People HATE change when it's for no reason, other the for a company to sell stuff. My new pc came with vista, i had to format it, and put xp on. It took a few hours getting the service packs on, but it was worth it. I tried vista for about 3 weeks, but it was just so much slower, and the way it works and feels just isnt right. <-- like i said, maybe this new style is "better". but you cannot change what people are used to.
People who fear change are the ones that are keeping our society from progressing as fast as it could. Idiots...lol.
Vista is less of a pain with a dual processor I find. It also has some cool features I have to admit, like the Windows Speech Recognition software- it's pretty accurate.
Microsoft is learning the hard way that they can't tell the market what to do. The market tells Microsoft what to do.
Well Microsoft beliefs that just because they had a new OS that people would run and buy it. Boy where they wrong. Not only did they not buy it the demand for the supply (Vista) was not there. It's that simple.
Ever since I've gotten vista, it's been hogging up my memory...2.5gb ram, nothing on, uses up 1.2 right there.
I have 2 gigs of memory, currently have 11 tabs in 5+ firefox, photoshop cs3, dreamweaver, MSN messenger, AIM, notepad, 3 folders, winamp 5, and a webcam app open with no slow down noticeable. I have also never had any problems...Best of all, I can actually tweak my system and do what I want to do with it because its running XP...
i dont know why these people speak bad abt vista i am using vista genuine which i bought , i have 3 gb ram and till now i did not get any problem and if u r talkin abt upgrades search internet u can find my rating for vista : 9/10 i especially like gui of vista
I don't understand whats that Vista specializes in... it doesn't have the best looks, its not the most stable OS, its not the best multimedia OS... I have Vista Ultimate and Kubuntu Installed on my computer.... apart from using Adobe Photoshop...I hardly boot to vista..
most people complain about it being slow. Thing is if your running a quad core and have 4/8gb ram, xp wont support it properly, vista will. When you have a good machine, you need a modern o/s
Also Bull, malarkey - total manure even. Quad core is FULLY supported in all versions of XP - Windows NT has had multi-core support since it's inception and XP is built on NT (just as 2K was) - whoever told you that was full of shit. As to RAM, you don't need Vista for over 2 gigs, you need a 64 bit OS. In fact Vista 32 bit will still not map ALL of memory available, and 99% of 32 bit windows applications aren't "largeaddressaware" meaning they won't even use more than 2 gigs ANYWAYS... The solution there is NOT Vista, but a 64 bit version of windows... Which means Windows XP x64 and Server 2K3 are just as valid a choices as Vista x64. Which is why when anyone says they are having problems with vista on new hardware, I point them at: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832116378 XP x64 - WHICH BTW though it's traditionally considered for AMD64 platforms, all non-itanium 64 bit intel processors (aka Pentium D or newer) use "EM64T" - which is just intel ripping off the AMD64 instruction set, so XP x64 and even AMD64 games like the far cry optimized run JUST FINE on the latest intel CPU's. Fun part about XP x64 is it actually isn't XP, but Server 2k3 with a slap of paint on it to LOOK like XP... that the two are driver compatable and several years old now getting drivers is not the pain it used to be. We can only HOPE that Vista drivers in a couple years will be where XP x64 has reached... though the hardware vendors are REALLY dragging their feet. (Creative labs in particular - I'm waiting for them to tell Microsoft to **** off the way they did Apple, which would pretty much be time to close up shop for them)
