Vista Lock Computer issue

When I lock my computer in vista to avoid people fiddling with my computer, I lose internet connection upon returning. I'm not sure if the wi-fi internet connection dies while the computer is locked, but it is definitely lost upon unlocking. Any suggestions on how to prevent wi-fi internet loss when locking a vista computer? Thanks!

checked it out. has nothing to do with the router. Basically, its connected while its locked, but as soon as i unlock the computer, the screen flashes, the wifi dies and then starts reconnecting again. I am pretty sure it is a vista glitch, but I have yet to find anyone else with the same issue.

It could be that your computer hibernates that is why it looses connection.

This is because you have the NIC power settings to allow it to bring the computer out of stand by.

Go to device Manager ~ Network Adapters ~ Your adapter ~ Power Management

Fix that and try to replicate the problem should be solved. ;)
