I wonder how much Microsoft paid them to say that. No way Windows Vista or any other Windows version is safer the either Linux, BSD or Mac OS X. And even if it is now it won't be in a month ;)

Don't believe everything you hear ;)

I've read an article on Forbes to confirm my thoughts. Vista is meant to be more reliable and protect software vendors against piracy, not the end user, me and you. And it will eat your RAM, but that will be scoring against you. Background processes always checking your moves to detect anything wrong. It's like upgrading to a police officer, not an OS meant to be better.

Try switching your Vista to the classic theme, and you probably won't see that much of a difference between XP and V any more...

Once more its unbelievable how well FUD worked from the side of the Linux promoters (not to say terrorists ;)). According to Secunia 18% of their advisories concerning Windows arent/werent patched, while the Linux percentage is 16% - so not much of a difference. And this is just covering the bare Kernel and does not take into account any security exploits in SSH daemons (20% for OpenSSH 3), other daemons or shell exploits.

    Just like I said

the most widely used operating systems are always the most unsafe. vista will be much more widely used than any flavor of linux. . . .

I am trying to believe in you, but most online bank and online payment servers don't use your called "most secure os" .
Do you think most of them are making mistakes not to use the "most secure os" ?
