Vista came with this program called "realtek HD Audio manager", when I put my headphones in and play pc games or listen to music with headphones in. Its like i'm listing to music comming threw a pipe. I can't figure this out. I've tried everything in the options. but it has this annoying echo . I've search Google, nothing. Anyone here know how to fix this? Its driving me insane.

Well I think it's nothing to do with the Audio manager. Every audio mistake should belongs to soundcard.
Check your soundcard driver. Is it the latest updated and compatible with vista?

Hi mimm, I think you were right about the driver. I uninstalled it. The driver was for the Realtek audio card. I am now using the windows driver, and the sound is working now. I think I know why it sounded like a pipe. It was trying to put HD (High-definition) audio threw a small personal headphone. Not going to work...lol
