go on the website http://www.crucial.com and run the activeX control... it'll tell you what you're running RAM wise, and make recommendations on what to get

You'll want to upgrade to atleast 2GB of DDR2 atleast 533mhz speed wise.

How you've managed vista and 1GB of ram, is a job well done ;)

If you just pop out the ram, and see what the sticker says (if it has one, which it should) then there you go. I suggest you get the max that your laptop supports, because RAM is so cheap right now!

For some reason, retailers are are selling laptops with 1GB of RAM. This makes absolutely no sense for the customer. They do this so you'll buy RAM at their stores. Vista with 1GB RAM is completely pointless. Will it run? Sure it'll run but you'll find yourself upgrading just like NetworkTown.

You are right. I bought one with 1 g too, and Vista was terrible. I went back to XP, and then upgraded to the max..4 g. No problem now :)

Figures...there's one more customer that went back to XP. I can't blame you. Glad everything is working fine for you now.
