Yeah the main reason is security! But the user convenient is more important than security!

I don't see what the problem is? They are trying to make windows more secure then what it is now and people are complaining?

Is that all anyone does is moan and groan at microsofts efforts to build a better platform?

    Easy solution:
Turn UAC off. It's one of the first things I do on a Vista PC.

Windows XP is just more stable to use. Vista needs a lot of optimizing before users start feel more comfortable making the switch. Programs and applets sometimes take inexplicably long times to load.

UAC can be turned off very easy.

digitalmatch, XP is NOT more stable or secure than Vista, every test shows that.

Vista Ultimate is the future of all OS. Soon, other MS-OS will become obsolete and Vista will be mainstream for most of the world.

I added a short explanation to my blog.. sorry for the crappy design will update that soon

Vista is pretty good and has some neat energy saving tools..
the best change I've noticed so far is that it will automatically defrag you pc while you are not at it and then shut it down.. if you press power now there is no boot screen, you can instantly login! This is pretty awesome considering that this will save energy + time

No. People are complaining about user friendliness preventing them from working. This is like your mother holding your hand while crossing the street. Sure it's safer, but it's fuggin obnoxious, and gets in the way all the time.
