for the last month I've racked in 5,700 Visitors with a 55% bounce rate. Average time is 1 minute 52 seconds. I know I've askes some silly questions on DP but I gotta know... Are those decent stats? If not what direction or goal should I move to?

Again Everyone on DP has been very helpful

5700 visitors is a very respectable number. The bounce rate isn't too bad either. Things like the bounce rate and time on site aren't really comparable from one niche to the next though.

So overall those stats are decent. A better looking site could lower that bounce rate. You should focus on getting some search engine rankings for related keywords. I notice your signature link doesn't use link anchor text.

The site explained was another site not the one from my signature block... But I am glad to hear 5700 Paid visitors at .04 a click is a good thing.. Too bad I don't profit much.. What kind of keyword stuff should I do?

    these numbers are just fine
keep in mind that if you have a site with facts howtos etc
an efficient goal-oriented surfer searches for a topc/solution/anwer - if found reads it and leaves the site.

there still are people having real goals and real work and thus no time to keep on "hanging around a site" and surf just for fun or waste of time across pages.
1+ minute usually is enough to read what you need on a page ( or to see the page is OK and "save page as" on his PC for alter permanent reference.

if you have more complex articles - then keep on adding links within text to relevant additional topics on your site to directly offer more content from you if he likes your style of content.

sites where ppl surf thru 5-10 or more pages like in DP forum are rare - such behavior only occurs if ppl lack to find instantly what they need and have to go thru a number of chit chat pages to accumulate the full content they need or search for - OR - if ppl like me search thru many open posts/questions to see where help still is needed.

be happy about your numbers and $ - just add more useful content of the kind you love yourself and are an expert in ! just multiply your current work by 2 or 3 ... until the final $-number suits your needs or expectations!

Yeah have a lovely bounce rate - but it really depends on what your theme is. As Einshtein (hope I spelled it correctly) said: Everything is relative...

I think any bounce rate which is over 70% then you should consider the keywords that your site is optimised for. Then again you might have the content to back it up so maybe its the sites design which is putting people off. In your example though I would say havin a 50% bounce rate is fine, especially with that level of visitor traffic :)

Great visitor stats in terms of numbers no doubt - as a general rule I'd aim for a (realistic) bounce rate of around 40% - I would consider that a very good bounce rate.

Are your visitors paid? Do you follow adword campaign?? Try to get targeted visitors to your site by submitting articles to ezine and other article directories.
Persons searching for related content as that of your niche are more likely to click the ads. You can improve the CTR by suitable placement and blending of ads. Lesser the number of ads, more the chances for click. :)

Yes my visitors (most) are from Adwords .04 a click... I write ezine articles like a mad man but not for this particular site... I'm happy that the stats are good. I'm even more stoked to get the DP members to contribute to my thread. I'm learning a lot here...

Read these two articles about bounce rates, Visio and I, Brian.

Remember that driving down bounce rates is difficult because some people will arrive at your site after searching for keywords you are not chasing and optimising for. Obviously it will not be what they want and they will leave. So 55% is a good rate for the number of visitors you have (but being that most of your visitors are from adwords it should probably be lower). Keep up the good work

Bounce rate depends on the type of site you have. For example, if you have a forum then its bounce rate has to be low. Anyway, for normal sites with majority traffic coming from SEs, I think any bounce rate less than 60% is ok.

I know the goal isn't to have a low bounce rate the goal is to get a click or get someone to stay on your site without trying to social engineer the user. So What are some things ya'll do to keep your visitors on your page?

I do not personally believe the bounce rate shown by the analytics.
