    hi guys,

my flash game site has about 5k visitors per month but 137 minutes is the time on site.

    how could I improve it?

    http://babegamer.com

my game site has about 4k game and half of em focus on girl game.

    Page Rank: 3/10

hat is the main reason ?? is it messy!! should I take less game??

the revenue is about 20-30$/month. I don't mind about it.

    where are you Sam?

my host is hosted in USA.

sometime I'm hard to load my site , sometime not.

Should I optimize my site or change host?

Do you mean 137 minutes per visitor, which would be exceptional - but incredibley unlikely, or 137 minutes between all of your 5k users? - which is a little over 1.5 seconds each- which is poor!

To be honest, your site really isnt that bad, perhaps a little top heavy, but other than that you should be getting longer times that 1.5 seconds.

I found my site had the problem so that I put it offline to fix.
    Now I open it again.

could anyone go again and test it ??
maybe tons of images is the problem for long time loading.
but if I take the images lesser, my site isn't attractive. :(

I have noticed on my game sites that traditionally around 50% of visits are <1m, and the next biggest is 10-15m - so I'm not sure which of us is more indicative of "real" results, but I'm glad we can try to figure it out.

I don't think there are a lot of female gamers. And for sure most of your visitors are teenager that don't usually stay long in one website.

Teenagers get bored so quickly. So I think you need to work out more on your contents...
Or how about putting a chat room on your site? I think that will help them stay or maybe will even bookmark your site..

thx for advice real_skinner, but it will hurt my host (shared host).Because of low average time, I dont want to update to VPS or dedicated server.

Look like many flash game sites have the same problem.

but why do we get lots of "fast" visitors??

I think they need games so that they visit the game site, but why they leave so fast :(

To retain them you will need fast loading of your site as suggested above and update content regularly, create a blog to build up a community, add attention grabbing content and embedded video, update visitors with relevant news through rss feed.

My arcade has an average visit time of 6 mins and a bounce rate of 18.4%. I only have about 35 games at the moment, but I hand-pick my games to make sure they're fun. Most of my visitors are return visitors and I get a decent CTR on my ads, so I must be doing something right. I think the key is to limit your games to ones that you think are fun. If your users have to search through thousands of games they might get bored and move on before they find something they like.
