I'm just curious that will i get referrals from DMOZ if i manage to get my site listed in there index. How many visitors per day can i expect from DMOZ.
I second that question as people say this the biggest and the most premium web directory if people get listed will they get visits from it
Most folks who know would say that a DMOZ listing does nothing for SE rankings and that very little traffic comes from DMOZ - if any. Do a search in this forum for similar opinions.
I get a 2 or 3 a year... Some categories actually do pretty well, some do a LOT worse then then one I am listed in. ...your millage may vary.
The times when directories were a source of traffic is long gone. Their only benefit pretty much remains the power of the link. However, while DMOZ remains one of the more trusted directories (their home page is PR8) even they don't have ~40% of their pages indexed by Google and who knows how many of their indexed pages are in the supplemental index. So, yes, get that link (if you can) but don't hold your breath.
According to comScore (a company that measures internet audience), DMOZ received about 29,000 unique visitors per day in August 2008 In 2009 DMOZ had visitors from over 236 countries and territories around the globe. With these stats, you can estimate the audience base of DMOZ.
DMOZ is high quality web directory.. maybe not many traffic you get from DMOZ, but google will give you traffic...
A link is a link is a link, and every link (to some degree) helps with SERP (Search Engine Rank Position).
