Visitors are increasing but alexa rank going down

hi

I have a website related to kids Coloring pages for kids .. From one month my visitors and pages views up 4 times and alexa rank is going down .. one month before alexa rank was 1lakhs approx and it on 3lakhs .. can any buddy explain it why its happening .. i know alexa ranking is depend upon toolbar .. but this difference is very huge ...

Just help me Is it normal or any thing wrong

alexa rank depends on many factors like badge, toolbar, backlinks... but the difference you are telling is huge and i too don't know the reason...

 

Usually, Alexa ranking and real visitors count doesn't really go along.

I have seen sites with 30k Alexa but only gathers 500UV per day in Google Analytics and Alexa with 300k but gathers over 1k UV in Google analytics.

In the end, real unique visitors counts, so don't really bother about Alexa and keep doing whatever you are doing now because it works in increasing number of visitors.

 

Shouldn't Alexa rank be going down actually? I mean Alexa Rank 10 will have more traffic that rank 1000 site. In case you meant that the alexa rank is increasing, let us know where you got the extra visitors from? That might help

 

alexa is complex, just focus on building traffic and no need to care too much about alexa if you are not selling the site

I have no believe in alexa, i have strong believe in google , so google is best for check visitor , traffic , and etc.

 

No need to worry, lesser Alexa rank means you are doing good.

 

I do agree with you, alexa work when you are using google adword or selling your site as well. If you are not selling your site than only concentrate your traffic or ranking.

 

First of all, when your Alexa rank goes down, that means you're getting more traffic. Second, Alexa rank is virtually meaningless unless you want to sell your website. It's simple a very vague measure of how much traffic your site gets compared to every other site on the web. It has absolutely no influence on your traffic or rankings - it's a measure of existing traffic.

Alexa ranking is not that important. Their ranking depends on the # of people who have their toolbar installed.

it is because your traffic is coming from search engines and not from referring site and others.

 

Have you used the toolbar of alexa in searching your own site in it it can help you increased your alexa ratings.. your traffic from search engine is different from your alexa ratings...

Alexa mainly depends on the number of unique visitors coming to the website. It also depends on Page Views, Reach, Link back of the website.
