It takes time there is no magic formula to generate 1000-2000 visitors, it depends upon the quality of your content and the niche you are targetting. If you are just using it as a spam site it is unlikely you'll get that many visitors regularly. My advice would be to set up a blog using wordpress, that way people leave leave comments and come back to your blog regularly and people like that aspect
