visa debit cards and paypal?

    does paypal accept debit visa card? Im gonna open a account at SBT (state bank of travancore) and they said they can provide me a visa debit card.. they said the card is international.. do you think I can use this card to verify my paypal? rep will be added for all answers.

    It depend on your country as well,my friend tried verifying paypal account with Indian Debit card (International) but it did not work.

    I think you cant.paypal only allows Verify it via CC..

    From my experience and assuming you are from india, debit cards with a VISA logo are not accepted by Paypal. :)

    If the state bank of travancore is from India then you most definitely cannot use the debit card. Only an International Credit Card would be supposed.

    Damn.. but they said the card is international.. I guess I've to find another way.. Please tell me a card that an Indian bank can provide, which can be used to verify Paypal.. And tell me which bank provides this card..

    The card is International Debit Card and not Credit Card. So PayPal (India) only accepts Credit Card to verify accounts. So get a Credit Card or make an account with your parents detail in it and use their credit card to verify that account and use it.

    Its more of an Issue with Indian Banks than Paypal. They dont allow Debit Cards to be used for online transactions.
