Hi Guys! Iam in Malaysia, I need some sensitive and proper information because its matter of my paypal verification and online business. I don’t want to use my local debit or credit card, because Iam interested to keep virtual credit card for online use. Iam writing after reading countless threads in various forums and search within google. Kindly provide me answers/suggestions regarding following questions before I purchase virtual card from any website. Question 1: Virtual Credit Card: Visa or MasterCard Many people mentioned that during verification of paypal, they accept Visa but in case of problem once, later you cant use same or other Visa again. But in case of MasterCard, there won’t be any problem with same or other Master card. Is it true? Question 2: Online Real-time Statement Is there any virtual card provider with secure log-in to keep “Online Real-time Transactions†for all purchases we make with our virtual card? Because it helps to get paypal “Expanded Use Number†quickly without any delay. Question 3: Reload-able Option Most of the virtual cards are preloaded/non-reloadable, just use it and that’s all. Iam looking for reload-able virtual card with Western Union. What services you guys know? Question 4: Long Expiry Date: I also read, some people mentioned about attached credit card with paypal account and verified duration topics. If I verify my account with any virtual credit card with expiry of 3 or 6 months, what will happen to my paypal account after 6 months? They will need same card to be renewed like we do for traditional credit cards? Is there any policy that as long as your card is active, paypal is active (I mean before expiry date), and when your card is finished, they need some new info from you? If above issue of expiry date is critical to paypal account, then any suggestions about virtual credit card provider who offers longest expiry date like 2 or 3 years? Question 5: Name and Address: Well after important things like card number, expiry, CVV2, other major things are “Name†and “Addressâ€. Basically Iam bit confused here, some websites of virtual card provider declare that you can use any name and address. Is it okay to do so? Is there any problem in such case? If there is no problem, then its good. We can use any name and address for more security and anonymity (only in case of delivery of digital goods, but not for paypal verification I know). Anyhow, I want a virtual card to verify my paypal account first, after verification I want same card for online-shopping, for online shopping, can I use different name and address later? Any suggestions? I also know some people use one card for verification and later they buy another for online-shopping, Anyhow Iam looking both benefits in one card without strict condition of Name and Address. Personally, I am opposed to the idea of using a Virtual Credit Card because like you said, it does not actually verify your identity at all. It is like using a fake ID to get into a club or something. If Paypal finds out, they may require you to fax the paper credit card statement and you land up with a lot of problem. When a credit card expires, you cannot use it anymore, your account may still remain verified but you cannot use the card and may be required to update the new expiry date or add a new card. Banks in Malaysia do offer Credit Cards or Debit Cards. I would advise you to go through the legal means of obtaining them and that should prevent you from risking your account.
the only problem with a vcc is, it won't allow a charge back to your account. suppose you sell something, and the buyer asks for a charge back, then paypal will come to know that you used a vcc. but then risking a credit card, is also not quite suggested. for verification, why don't paypal asks us, to fax details! why credit card verification, when the system can be cheated
Banks do not normally issue credit cards to right about anyone. Typically they will do extensive credit checks on you. So when Paypal used that, they will not only be able to verify your name, address, country, your creditworthiness and all that. Personal details may not be sufficient to verify that. Of course, it is sad that the system has been abused with people using VCCs.
Yes you guys are right, from different point of views. In case of selling anything online, I wont use Paypal as my payment processor, I will apply for Traditional Online Merchant Account like Authorize.net (International) "OR" Third Party Payment Processors like 2Checkout.com. Basically question comes that whole world knows that paypal's verification is cracked by virtual card method, even they also know by in depth terms, but they dont want to observe anymore, just hungry for more money. They know few things only: sign up, sell, give our commission, and get lost by account terminated. Guys Look! have you ever tried obtaining Digital ID for your e-mail account or website. All SSL companies have different kind of International verifications. For example, telephone call, voice recognition, key-in secret code within call, fax of passport, International Driving License, Inter-connect verification of National ID by embassy. It takes 24 Hours for all above stuff. And I have experience of all because I tried various digital ID providers for my email account. All they want real identification of real person to make sure that person who is sitting far is same guy with entire legitimacy. Who the hell is paypal to ban your account? First they freeze, hold your cash, dont reply for years, close their doors for 180 days (hell), might ask for fax regarding passport, ID, Address verifications AFTER FREEZING ACCOUNT. Please remember they dont do any solid verification before opening account, but later zombies wake up and start eating you alive. Shame! Today people are scared and quickly withdraw funds, what kind of insecurity is it? Dont forget that in case of selling something with paypal, any stupid or lamer can send email to paypal due to any reason or jealousy that he/she didnt get whatever mentioned over your site? What you will do then? Go to court with proof? No, you will get big slap of account banned or frozen, even you try your best by all means. After years of experience in digital goods, Iam sorry to say that touching paypal to sell anything over your website is calling nightmare. Authorize.net, their dealer payquake.com and so many others like 2CO.com etc are okay. Everyone knows that etrade.com provides US Checking Account for International people, which is paypal enabled. Everyone knows VMI card is another method for receiving funds to your ATM, also paypal enabled. Staff of paypal knows about these facts, what they did? Nothing! Because they dont have legal time for legal people, but know how to impose outer-space conditions for your accounts. Iam just willing to open paypal account because one of my friend in USA had some difficulty to send me little cash, thats all. eddy you used words "legal means", well I must say, whole concept of paypal is not legal, why I will be legal with them? let them freeze my account, but I will only use Virtual Card for such blood-sucking spineless creatures. Look, after freezing my account, free email providers, paypal website, virtual card providers will be still out there. Tit for tat! One thousand accounts, one thousand verifications! there you go done! Guys people are using anonymous proxy servers and getting verified in UK for USA accounts of paypal. what the hell! They claim we have elite security procedures, WOW what a security procedures paypal keep (lame CC verification)? eddy Iam sorry but your words legal means reminds me so many things while typing. So the day, when paypal will be legal and ask for legal traditional documentation for good and solid verification like good financial organizations are doing. We will stop using Virtual CC. Guys I met personally a paypal staff member in 2005 during my vacation. I remember his words, "Its very easy to say I have no problems with paypal business account, but when problem comes, its very easy for us to freeze your account, even by other's (buyer) easiest effort". If your cheque is not cleared by your name, its fraud. Bank and people can call police, you know why? Yes they did solid verifications before. When paypal keeps you 1000 US$, block you account, listen lame buyers attentively and ignore you, do you call police? HAAAAAAAAA haaa! Even they cant call feds, because they have just cyber grounds and they have taken fee (1000 US$) to keep their mouth shut by fraud. Yes I call it fraud when paypal listen only one side. Forget about their stupid TOS guys. Result: Paypal uses you, You use paypal! No terms and conditions. Its open verified cyber black market.
