Not sure where to go to post, must be in the right place here. There is a new approach to getting unsuspecting people to open virus containing attatchments, and it is a good one. The subject line is 'I got your emails by mistake' and in the message it explains the 'sender' somehow got emails addressed to you at their account, and has sent them in an attatched zip file. There is a strong immediate reaction to open this - 'what did this person see!', 'what important emails have I missed!' - and I almost even went for it. I concentrate on computer desktop security in my tech work, so I keep abreast of all the tricks, but this is really a good example of 'social engineering', or in plain language, tricking you! Already some computer security aware folks have fallen for this one so I decided to help spread the word as much as possible. There is a report here :W32.Sober.N@mm sends e-mail messages with the subject headers "I've_got your EMail on my_account!" It is also bi-lingual, and displays in german for Germany.
I think norton has been blocking those for me already, but I will keep my eyes open on that one! Tricky
