that is not a virus as such, it's malware, possibly a tool bar you have installed ? http://www.emsisoft.com/en/software/free/ is usually good at catching most (NOT ALL) of them.
I recommend you to use HIJack this tool and observe the log file. Then you can identify the affected areas and the malware.
I have a LogMeIn account. If you want, I can get into your computer and get rid of the problem for you... PM Me.
This sounds like one of the browser addons that IE is so fond of installing. Usually loaded onto your system in a iframe. Check what addons you have and disable everything that is not verified by a software company you trust. Some of them will say MS but they will not be verified.
My ultimate suggestion is that format your computer. As no anti-virus is working out. Please do follow formatting your computer as there is no scope of removal of virus through any anti-virus.!
I think its not virus.. but its a spyware, indeed... just install Antispyware on ur computer.. and everything will be normal
What addons do you have installed? Internet Explorer>tools>manage addons> then see what is running and what will run on demand using the dropdown box. 6 is slightly different but you find them the same way. Most of the problems come from the ones using active-X.
try malwarebytes, I used it on my pc. I think it's better than other AV software because this software deleted the virus which known AV can't. my blog post about the software, visit .
I hear that and fully understand. What AV are you using? Norton 2009 nails all of the incoming malware. The worst thing that happens is that the browser freezes. I don't know whether they have a free trial or not but it is fairly cheap on Ebay. Good luck.
i m using avast since six months and no virus or malware or any suspicious thing has evet infected my pc. i would recommend u run any licence copy of avast and scan ur pc thoroughly and im sure u will be able to get rid of this problem
Opera uses Explorer's browsing frame. Before doing anything stupid use another browser like firefox and if you do not encounter the same problem it means that bill's browser is the culprit.
I second this action! This one called malwarebytes worked pretty good for me last week when I had some nasty Antivirus 2009 bull shit on my computer.. Malwarebytes removed 67 trojans off when that happened. I also had to run my main Antivirus scanner in safe mode after running malwarebytes, and it removed another 27 trogans. Need to first go into msconfig and shut down the services that start the virus.. than use malwarebytes and run the full scale full scan and remove all it finds.. Than start in safe mode and run it again and your main virus scanner too. Boulder
