Id not rely on the one product to do all.

I use NOD32 for antivirus, and i found Malwarebytes good after a recent nasty problem.

AVG or Avast, Comodo Firewall, MalwareBytes, CCleaner, jkdefrag

I am an in-home computer repair tech. These tools have almost always saved the day. Run CCleaner before the scans so they don't take as long and jkdefrag when your all done.

    These are all free BTW.

Thanks DP members, went with the Avast for antivirus, and Malwarebytes as a back up.

Installing an anti-virus program and keeping it up to date is among the best defenses for your home computer.

Avast antivirus software gives complete virus protection with anti-spyware technology offering full desktop security including a resident shield. you should try avast as your home computer security.

i prefer Avast Home for now. it has protection for virus and spyware too.
It can also scan web while you are browsing a page, so when a link with virus detected, it will be blocked.

People might say that NOD32 is good, but I find it terrible. It's team takes forever to analyze viruses that are submited.

Although an anti-virus won't stop you from getting viruses, I recommend you use.

Kaspersky Anti Virus - Just the anti virus solution.
COMODO Firewall - When you install it, just select the firewall.
    SUPERAntiSpyware

That is my setup and even if you are infected with a Fully Undectable virus, you can always block it with the firewall :)

I agree with many of you but I also see so many different setups and that truly speaks for itself. I dont believe there's only one universal software for everyone!

Im personally very limited because of my use of windows XP professional 64-bit and there's not many security software's especially for that OS.

If any of you still are looking for a security application and perhabst wants to read some reviews related to this topic do check out below.

Incorrect, i wish you would do some research...

NOD32 has the best detection for FUD virii, ive tested this myself with my own bot code, kashitsky doesn't pick it up, norton doesn't, all the other main ones don't except for whom?... nod32.

Just because you think you have all unknown processes monitored, what if the bot/virii hooked into your browser? Then you couldn't block your " fud " virii could you?

So many shit talkers here on DP, get your facts right otherwise people just correct you and make you look a fool.

"Kashitsky" ? Why don't you be mature here, not like a kid?

I said that they take forever to analyze viruses that are submitted, and it's true. I have myself a crypted FUD Keylogger, but ESET still haven't picked it up but other companies have.
