Ive just had to upgrade to a virtual server and Ive been told by the hosts that I can set the dns nameserver and use this for all my domains without any problem. lot of my sites link together and I know having the same IP address can affect the link quality, on other words my links to my site is better f its a different IP address. If I use the same nameservers for all my domains will this have any adverse effects?

Provided you have different IP addresses for your domains, name servers should in principle not affect you. Keep in mind that many hosting provides (including myself) provide hosting solutions for many customers using the same name servers. However, do NOT link between your sites if they use the same IP!

I agree with SEOTranslator, it should not be a problem as long as you don't internlink your sites in the same IP address or subnet
