Virtual Private Server hosting

Can anyone recommend a good VPS hosting company in the UK?

I'm looking to upgrade from shared hosting to something I have more control over due to my current host breaking my site after a MySQL server crash.

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, but I thought it was most appropriate.

 

Checkout a2b2.com . They have servers in UK.

 

I'll second A2B2.com, been with them since November 2007 and still very happy. Not the cheapest around but you really do get what you pay for

 

I, myself do not recommend A2B2's sister company - CheapVPS.com. My VPS was down every single Sunday, and they never admit it when the node graphs are all broken.

Then, when I submitted to cancel my account. They said they cancelled it, but then, after a month or so, kept on threatening me to pay. Then it took a few tickets to resolve it.

I suggest jaguarpc.com.

 

CheapVPS always has seemed a little dodgy to me anyway, it's VAServ that owns the lot (A2B2, A2B2XS & CheapVPS). You get what you pay for. No doubt they denied it and didn't help due to CheapVPS being completely unmanaged.

1and1.co.uk , definitely way better compared to their US market (1and1.com).

Well if your looking for a VPS that must reside in the UK, i recommend eUkhost or Velnet for that purpose.

 

I don't know what the difference between them are. I'm looking for VPS because I don't have the money to have a dedicated server. Unless anyone can do a dedicated server for £14.99 a month...
