    Hello,

I'm interested in Virtual Credit Cards. I have been reading the Marketplace section where many people are selling them.

I want Virtual Credit Cards for personal use, not to sell. I know certain banks like Citibank offer them. I see lot of people generating VCC after you give them the name & address you want in the VCC. I'm interested in a service like that. Which bank provides those features? Are they using something other than banks?

Man, this is private business. People are earning money from this service and would not want to have more competitors ;)
Put you in the position and you will find the answers from the others should be "no" ;)

Generally if they are indian, they are most likely using their personal Netsafe account from HDFC bank. This ability to generate VCC numbers is supposed to be a service for the account holder's exclusive usage in order to protect their account from being abused. However some account holders ignore their bank's policy and sell the numbers to others just to make a couple of dollars in clear breach of their contractual agreement with their bank.

If you however get the VCC from your bank and use it for yourself then nothing is wrong there. You just cannot use someone's account to verify your account.

What about those who are not Indian? What are they using? I need VCC for shopping and not for verification. Prepaid VCC. Any ideas?

Iam interested too. I talked to someone offering Indian vcc and said his bank does not allow to add name or address to the VCC.

If you are not in India, you must "borrow" a person and pay him for doing those for you :)
