Virtual credit cards -question

Greetings:
I have been looking for info about virtual credit cards on the net but I do not have enough knowledge on those matters to understand if this is legit. Does anyone know about it and any good companies selling legit virtual credit cards?

hi there, I have one virtual CC issued by epassporte. It works just like a real CC and offcourse it is legit. Actually it is a debit card and will need a real CC or bank account to fund it

The bad thing is that some systems do not accept payment from virtual cc.. like 2co, paypal, enom ..

I was told by ccard.com that they would issue me a virtual credit card for 60 dlrs andwould also give me a three digit security number that I could use to verify my paypal account. After that, they told me that, for another 20 dlrs I could request my virutal cc´s monthly draft and access paypal´s extended program enrollment number.
Hummm I do not know. I really need one but I am affraid to be scammed.

 

If you are just looking for a virtual credit card, go with epassporte ... if you need an actual card, they will also issue it for you an actual card ... I have been with them for over 6 months and have had no hassles so far.

Oh, I have a question. have you ever used your epassport credit card to verufy your paypal account?Do you know if they allow it?

nope. i cant verify with paypal or 2co. I've contacted epassporte and they tell me that they block paypal verification and 2co system. This is what i found it in my email :

Dear Epassporte Cardholder:
As a Visa Issuer and for your protection, we have elected to block certain
merchant categories. 2Checkout.com is a high risk merchant we do not
accept transactions from this merchant. PayPal does not accept the
Epassporte card.so there would not be a way to use the Epassporte card on
these sites.

Just to inform you, if someone ever needs a virtual cc to verifiy its payapl account ( like I do now), I found that virtualccard.com offers that possibility.I think they are too expensive thou...

 

hmm .. i've just visited the site .. looks like a brand new site ... i think they need to run spell check to clear out all of the typos before some1 really trust them .. i rather trust a more established company .. epassporte only cost me $5/year

 

best place to get a virtual CC is your bank,
I have one from "Garanti Bank" It's verified by paypal etc... never had any difficulties

 

I wish Portuguese banks had that option. I never came across one who would offer me a virtual CC.
Anyway, I just got my new virtual CC by virtualccard.com and signed up for paypal with it- it worked but...when I try to ask for the extended user number, it says: paypal does not allow you to use this CC for enrollment in our extended user program, please use another CC.

I contacted the guy who sold me the card and he said he was going to find out what was happening. Nevertheless, he told me he would send me my money back if I wanted to. Let’s see what happens next.
In the meanwhile, if anyone knows about a better company that will provide me with a virtual cc for paypal extended user program enrollment, I would appreciate it very much!

Nope Brancho.Just when I was thinking I had that solved...

I’d say forget about paypal. They gave me terrible times and I am still struggling to get a big amount of funds out of there

 

Are you sure Portuguese banks don´t offer them? I just changed my bank account and was given a virtual cc from a Spanish bank. The thing is it was not actually offered to me until I asked about the possibility of getting one.

Perhaps some banks do have this service but keep it low key for whatever reason?

 

Oh, you have a point.
I have actually asked one of my banks about that and they told there was no way they were going to issue me a virtual cc. But again, that was the same bank that almost had a nervous attack when I tried to wire some money to Israel.
I will have to check that out with my second bank.

Visa don't offer virtual credit cards since not so long ago i informed through Visa myself by calling the customer service and the Fraud department.

Any website claiming that they offer Visa virtual creditcards are a scam, you really have to look out for these kind of offers since a lot and i mean a lot of them are fake and scams.
