Virtual Book Cover Generator

Hi guys... so yes, this is a cross post from the General Marketing forum, but I didn't seem to get much from there, and in theory it does relate to programming in a way :)

Just curious if anyone can suggest a good virtual book cover / virtual software box generator? I've seen a few around for > $50, but was hoping for something a bit cheaper, preferably free...

Any ideas, or should I just fork over the money and buy one of the more expensive ones?

    Thanks.

HAve you tried searching at www.download.com? I believe I came across a free/trial one on there in the past.

I'm an idiot. I can't believe I didn't think of download.com! Still can't find any free ones, but at least they're getting cheaper.

    Thanks for the tip.

    Hey webbie:

That's looking like a bit too much effort :) I'm after one of those apps that has the template pictures and so on all ready and all I have to do is enter some text for the 'cover'.

I will bookmark that, though, in case I get desperate!

Not sure you ever found one as this is an old post but scotts box shot is a good free software for this kind of thing and is really easy to use.

    Hi scoobywow:

I did try it at one stage but wasn't that impressed with the outcome. I had forgotten about it, though, so will give it another shot.

    Thanks!
