Nice looking site. The only thing that detracts in my mind is the long sidebar on the left which is many more times longer than the main panel leaving a lot of empty space in the main panel. Have you thought of choosing a different layout and have a double sidebar on the right so the length will be halved?
Very good looking site. I would leave in the left sidebar "just the upcoming games" section, and I would move the next 3 section in the middle (in the main area), side by side, after the featured games of the day (it seems you won't have more than 2 games per day).
