Who has rights to those videos seen floating around the internet? I've seen the same on branded by ten different sites (who edited their sequence into the beginning)... can anyone use those at will?

You can forward them with the code for the already branded players. Videos, like any other content, are copyrighted by the owners / creators. You can't just "use them at will." You would need to find videos that have been released into the public domain, or you would need to buy a license to use it in your branded player like that... at least if you want to be legit and avoid a lawsuit.

I wonder the same thing. It seems there are literally thousands of videos, flash games, etc posted on hundreds of websites with no regard for original authorship. Do the creators just give up?
