I run a sports site, and I am planning on making banners of players that can be used in sites or on forums (as sigs). I plan on giving out the code with my url in it, but since most people will delete the url, I'm also putting my address on the banners. I want to make it still look good enough and not too prominent so that people will still use it. Here is my first attempt. Tell me what you think. http://media.twango.com/m1/large/0089/93f427dba34c4059be6b4e4e2d7d3192.jpg
yeah that banner text is not readable at all, well u can make avatars rather they would be more suitable then sigs.
Yeah, I would get someone else to design them. Go to a forum dedicated to graphics as you will get them pretty cheap there, some people get off on making forum signatures, so they might even do it for free. Here's what google churned up for 'football forum signatures' : http://www.footballforum.com/signatures-graphics/ Try and get something like that, with your URL small and in a corner so not it's not intrusive, but clearly readable. The idea is to have as many people using it as possible, so you can't make a huge URL like in your original signature or people won't use it. Also, this isn't viral and it won't get masses of traffic really, it's just advertising ;]
