viral marketing is about having an idea, a product, a concept, a video - that passes through the internet (or word of mouth), by being referenced on blogs, through email, on social networking and gossip sites. In that sense it's similar to link-baiting - you put an idea out there and hope others pick it up. p.s -don't keep asking questions that you could look up on google or wikipedia, you'll wear out your welcome very very quickly.
