--------- my forgiveness intro ---------------- I'm not going to name my site, because while I created an account here 2 years ago - I'm an infrequently lurker that hasn't earned the right to mention my link. I heard Shoemoney giving nice plugs left and right for the digital point forum on Webmaster radio, so I came back... and I regret being away because the forum is very active. So I'm back and while my threadposting is 0, I hope to get a pass. I do use digitalpoint's keyword tracking tool everyday and I do dontate too. --------------------------------------------- My marketing problem.... I'm really struggling to find social media/viral ways to market a new service I have up and running. It's a Phone Call Tracking service (if you google, I won't be found) where SEO/SEMers can purchase trackable numbers instantly. I got stated on the phone number tracking idea because I do a lot of CPA stuff with lead generation and I'm always looking for ways to better monetize my traffic. I have some niche topic sites doing lead generation where I do rockin' well but I was frustrated with only being able to sell email leads. So having done some work with some really cool and talented people in telecom, i partnered on this project to develop this service where any SEOer can sell phone call leads or just track phone calls if they are hired out on an SEO project. My model is not like the big phone call tracking services where the trackable phone call numbers are published across large ad networks. Our service is independent of the publishing network, meaning its' up to the SEOer to place the number where they choose - even offline. This way, anyone with clients can benefit from phone call tracking while still keep control of their project. Now I think the service is bad -@ss for sure and I'll be an SEO superstar for given average joe's like myself a way to get in on the pay per call action - bacause trust me - it's BIG. My service is fast and cheap. When I say fast, I mean fast. In about 20 seconds you can buy a number, assign a destination number to it, and call it live. It's pretty wicked and when I personally demo this to SEO firms- they are blown away. My problem is I cannot find my audience online. I'm having failures in every direction with Adsense campaigns, banner campaigns on quality sites, paid blogging, asking bloggers for reviews. Doing the keyword research, there really isn't a strong keyword market to go to, not even 'phone call tracking' or 'track phone calls' are big turns. So i know organically I gotta get broad and go deep with the long tails to bring in a wide variety of traffic. This will take time, so I want to exlore the social/viral/web 2 ways to get this marketed. Man do i regret not having a strong online identity now... I humbly request your help: a) is phone call tracking for SEO/SEM crowd cool and needed? b) should I go affiliate route to gain exposure? If so, where? c) Is it realistic (and acceptable) to ask bloggers for reviews? I imagine they get bothered all day long by the likes of me with my 'great service ideas' very kindly, -devitnow
