Well ive been using adsense for about a year now on my site and just got a email saying I am violating their TOS and they have disabled ads to my site (WTF?). They said that "sites showing ads may not provide instructions or equipment to illegally access or tamper with software, servers, or websites." The website is related to PS3 hacking, but we do not condone piracy, just homebrew (user generated apps), and there is nothing to which they say actually posted (no software server or website), plus we have zero instruction on doing this. Apart from THAT, maybe the adplacing? Please let me know asap, pretty ticked off after a year they do this... Site: www.ps3hax.net Code (markup):
no, you are not breaking any TOS! but you are using word like "hacking" and "torrent" will lead the adsense validator consider you as a hacking website! kindly remove or replace with other word will keep you running adsense!
Its hacking but not hacking that is illegal and that disrupts and causes harm. Plus there are plenty of other websites under my niche and under the hacking catagorey that use adsense.
Look over the TOS and your website and make sure you have absolutely nothing violating the TOS. Once you do that send google an email back and plead your case.
Adsense validator measured your website as a hacking or torrent website by considering the words “hacking†and “torrentâ€, but a website which is against hacking may also has the keyword hacking. So these keywords do not mean that your website is a hacking or torrent website. You can send a mail to adsense showing how your website is not violating TOS then they may consider again. Wish you good luck.
Well I do have instructions on how to download torrents, but I state that they should be used for legal files ONLY, no where did I say or distrubute illegal files. And torrents are legal just people abuse them by downloading illegal files :/ Just by curiosity does this website violate Adsense TOS? I did link out to this so I am just wondering.
