    Hey,

Need some help. I need to know if these two examples violate Adsense TOS.

1- My boy's football fan site. Is this "hate speech"? Nick Saban Sucks

2- An example of a YouTube video with just a bit of "content": Drunk Lawyer

Any help is appreciated. Thanks guys!!

    :)

    Thanks for replying man.

I am worried that calling a celebrity "stupid, liar, etc." is hate speech???

I'm also worried that having vids with little text is not good.

Also, many/ most YouTube videos violate copyright. Google owns YouTube, so G has tons of content that violates copyright. But if my little sites show YouTube videos that violate copyrights, is that a violation of Adsense TOS?

Check in your Adsense account - you can specifically show Youtube videos through your network to gain adsense income - so this would be safe to assume that you are perfectly okay. Although, if you have to ask - then ask. ;)

    Hey Spidey!

Thanks for the help. Can you help me understand:

1- How do you define hate speech?
2- Is a few lines of text with a video enough content?
3- It's OK to violate copyrights, as long as it's on YouTube?

    Thanks man.

    :)

    1. You'd have to ask Adsense explicitly for this.
    2. I have seen worse than just a few lines. The more relative content, the better.
    3. It would strictly depend on whether or not Adsense allow that genre of video to be used, best to check the rules of that in your Adsense account. Just because it's on youtube, doesn't mean it's okay to use and not protected by copyright laws.

    Cheers,
    Spidey

well google's TOS are blurry most time, so it's for them to define the hate speech.
I think they may deindex you if the guy who you call idiot will claim them :)

Yes, the TOS are very blurry.

Hate speech is pretty to talk about, but try to give me a working definition.

If I call a politician/ celebrity/ public figure and idiot, that is hate speech?

I'm telling you that the vast majority of videos on YouTube violate copyrights. Personally, I could care less. But I would like to know if G is very liberal with the policy on publishers that are displaying content that they have generated (by placing YouTube videos on my site, when G owns YouTube).

I'm just asking this to determine if I need to yank this off of any sites. I would rather ask here first, before asking G.

Calling a public figure an idiot is not hate speech. Hate speech refers to racist hate speech and some other kinds of discrimitation.

I dont think it violates adsense tos. If you place adult or mature content that will violate the tos. Also fraudulent clicks. I thinks that are the two things they worry most about. But if not sure is always better to ask them :)

all rules in googles TOS are a bit free for interpretation by the mod team, so if you have bad luck to come along a 'trigger happy' mod you're done :D
