First it was yahoo overture, and now it is Google.
Just learnt from a some threads that Google now charges separate bid for the same keyword for Google Results page and Adsense publishers.

Since Adsense is vulnerable to Clickfraud and with millions of MFA sites , it is understandable.

But does google treat a high traffic publisher on par with the MFA's when it comes to the pricing.

A search on google might land you on an MFA as well as a very good Website with genuine content. Now imagine the same ad is thrown up on both sites... Does the differential pricing of keyword have anything to do with other factors of the adsense publisher as well, like CTR history, content, PR, age of URL, natural links etc etc

Or it is just adsense and google search result?

    Your two bit?

Are you sure you have this right? I haven't heard or read anything about Google charging differently for the search results/content channels. I would assume however that it is a natural occurence due to more advertisers only wanting to advertise on the search results, causing bids to be higher.

However I am aware of the quality rating of landing pages that cause especially MFA sites to pay a premium to allow them to advertise in Adwords... making arbitrage non-viable for them (at least in theory).

Some people replied to another thread, and anyway yahoo had always been doing it so why not google, My only question was whether it was a straight seggergation between ansense publishers and google search or even within the publishers there are algorithm defined premium publishers.

BTW your digital photography site is very neat.

I'm sure they always have done it. A user that clicks an ad on search results vs. one that clicks an ad from an AdSense publisher's site will have a different value to the advertiser.

I believe it was around last October that they added separate pricing for Content vs. Search results. ECPM dropped for many Adsense Publishers dropped after that.

Yes they are doing this (diffrent pricing)

Also after the last update its becoming harder to get low cost per click
for the search network... But I've comeup with "way" to activate the old
nice $0.05 per click again :)

    Anyone interested? just PM me.

hey thanks for the link. Actually what they do is advertisers can bid for the same keywords separately on whether you want the ads to be displayed on adsense publishers as well. :)
