how bad is it for you to view your own site?
obviously clicking on your own ads it a pretty bad offense, but if you're constantly making changes to your site you will want to see the page when you're done. is this allowed? what do you guys do in this case?

There is nothing wrong with simply viewing your own site. For CPM ads, multiple page impressions won't count - it's something AdSense deals with automatically. :)

thanks! it didn't make sense that you couldn't, but with all the "allegedly innocent" people getting banned, i was a little paranoid.

As far as you don't generate 80% of your impressions every day you will be fine.

I'd suggest disabling javascript in your browser if your site doesn't need it (and it shouldn't require it for good accessibilty). That way you don't inflate your impressions while using your site and keep your CTR higher (which *may* influence Google's algo for determining how much to pay you for each click).

Your account won't be banned if you make changes to your code and preview it.

Don't go to the live website and refresh it a 1000 times etc. in a day
