Viewing your ads from another country

    Hello,

I live in Canada but am running a campaign in the US. When I go to Google.com, it automatically redirects me to Google.ca so I cannot see if my ads are running or not when I search. Is there anyway around this?

    Thanks in advance.

when you go to google.ca you should see a link at the bottom
    "Google.com in English"
click on it and it should not redirect you any more if you type in google.com

btw this will not help you see the ads in USA
you can see them by adding &gl=us to the actual address in the address bar

Thx dude, been looking for that a long time.
    I always used proxies.

Edit: Doesn't seem to work perfect, if I go to the next page it won't show the us results anymore.

    you are welcome :)

If you go to the next page you will have to add the same thing to the address again as the actual links google generates for next page do not have it

I have successfully changed my home page to:
    http://www.google.com/ig?hl=en&gl=us

when I search for something such as 'insurance', all the paid ads are from Canadian insurance companies so this must not be working correctly. This is important to me as I want to promote US offers to prospects only in the US.

Does anyone have any other thoughts?

    Thanks,

    Russ.

Hey, thanks! That works well. The only thing is that if you have more than one page of results you have to manually add '&gl=us' to each results page. A bit of a pain but at least it can be done. Thanks again.

with US proxy you will have to first find it and then change your settings on the browser.
    too much hassle I think

There's another way. Browse via one of the sites in this list: http://anoniem-surfen.eigenstart.nl/

Just bookmark one of them for future use. I think most of them are US proxies.

Google has a tool to look up your ads and see if they are displaying in other areas, and will tell you if they are not displaying why....
