Viewing Sites in the Network

    Hi,

I have just signed up for a coop account and was wondering if it is possible to check the websites that I am going to be linking to. I am just a bit concerned that I could end up linking to pornographic sites or something not suitable for a family audience. I have browsed around DP for quite a while, and understand that the members police the sites, so I thought there must be an easy way of viewing the sites I could be linking to.

    Thanks

There is an approval process for ads but you could always check your .txt file

Right Ok, if you find some ads that are dodgy what are you supposed to do? I know that all ads and sites have to be approved, but it would be very easy for a webmaster to set up with a "friendly" site that complies by the rules and then just switch the content once approved - I know even adsense can get caught out with this, so I assume that someone wanting to abuse coop could easily do it if they wanted.

Hope you don't mind me being finicky but it is a genuine concern I have.

Guess I will just have to go through the text file!!

You can post it here as it serves two purposes:
    1.) Gets it removed
2.) Keeps the profile high that these sites violate the TOS

I think the number of sites you could be linking to through the COOP is around 5000, way to many to vet one by one. And the number of sites grows daily, I think you just have to trust the members.
I know most of us glance at the coop sites linking to our sites and if anything questionable is there it gets checked out and if sus they get reported.
It's very rare that a questionable site is found.
