I started a tattoo website earlier in the year and I was just wondering what the website experts on here thought of it. So please take a look and let me know what you think of the layout, colors, adverts placements and content e.t.c..

Its great i think the background could be a little darker too though, seems too bright for my eyes, but thats just me.

 

Thanks for the replies. Yes I designed all the content on there. The color scheme is something I may consider changing later on...

 

As Harro said, and also I think your site looks really great, also the tattoo design, just make it a little darker, that's all.

 

I'd much rather see a creative Tattoo themed website design rather than a boring color gradient that could be used on any site.

Although the logo does hint at being tattoo related with the woman, again, the logo doesn't really showcase any creativity. White text on a red background... bleh.

There are so many really cool and interesting Tattoo sites out there, from design to content. In the tattoo industry you really need to stand out better. Make your site scream the tattoo design and creativity you have.

Thanks for your reply. I contemplated on a more creative backdrop, but did'nt think it was necessary....

i think a tattoo site should be very creative and original with a very unique design
design of site reflects the tattoo designs they are both art and should be displayed as so

 

I think I will make Tattoo Woo in a different kind of font...... I'm surprised nobody pointed that out... maybe a tribal font that would work.

 

I agree with dominion4040 I think you should get a more unique theme.

 

defiantly needs a unique theme. And on top of that those sort of tattoo sites are 10 a penny now, and real tattoo enthusiasts (the people who will keep coming back) wont use flash, they have custom designs drawn up.

So who are the target audience? People with no knowledge of tattooing or people who just want one piece and are looking for flash?

If you know something about the tattoo industry, write something unique, if you don't work on a project you know something about, and can write unique content for.

The site design and the logo is good.there are some minor alignment problem here and there, like the top bar above the adsense in the sub pages are aligned towards right.7/10.

Thanks for pointing that out. Do you think it would have any affect on my sites performance??

 

would it affect my seo score, ranking or anything like that? Or it not a big deal?

 

Of course , the alignment issue will not hurt your SEO. But , people do not like to buy things from a store with a broken window, do they? More professional your site looks, they will feel more confident to spend money in your site. Got my point?
