An Israeli company has developed an application that enables users of Google plus-Google’s new social network to view messages posted on Facebook (the present industry leader). Called as Google + Facebook, the application was developed last week by Crossride, whose primary business is to create extensions to browsers. According to Menachemi Koby, who is the co-founder and chief executive officer they have already reached more than 100,000 downloads. â€It’s something we create in less than a day,†said Menachemi. “The product is not perfect, but you can see the messages (Facebook) and publish updates†although Google +. After a series of failures, Google is betting that Google +, which already has more than 10 million users, will compete directly with Facebook, which has a huge base of 750 million users in a rapidly growing segment. Although most people prefer a simple importation of friends, photos and other personal information to Google +, this may violate the terms and service of Facebook. Crossride The application, which is free, simply adds an icon to Google +, through which users can see their Facebook pages. “It’s a ,†said Menachemi, adding that the company plans to make improvements in the application.
