I recently put my site up for possible sale in this thread:

So you can read some info on it there if you aren't familiar with it.

The bidding went up to $1050 before I decided not to sell and go for BIN offers only.

I have received BIN offers over $1050 and I would like to have this thread for anyone who wishes to place a BIN offer either publically or privately through PM or MSN (add me if you want).

BIN offers must be inclusive of paypal fees.

The highest BIN I have received so far is $2500.
and Shazz is correct in a way. Although this is kind of bidding/BINing lol. Technically speaking it is bidding.
Site is coded in php/mysql/perl with advanced streaming techniques so no files are ever downloaded to the server

I would like to know how its not downloaded to the server? As far as I know for programing PHP & Perl need local data to be able to do anything. Also what software is used? ffmpeg or? I'm not that intrested in the code as it's something which would take me about a day to code, so really I'm more intrested in the traffic. Can you send me recent stats?

 

I can't go into to much detail but I will stand slightly corrected.

The script doesn't download and store files to the server, it streams them in a temporary folder and pushes them out to the browser in real time. Therefore no huge space requirements are required for this to function.

All the requirements for the script to function are pretty standard. It will work on any cpanel server.

Adsense went down for a day or so because I have been playing around with ad placement.

 

Ok Final Question, legally where does this site stand? As even in a temporary folder I would be storing copyrighted videos on my server and then providing copyrighted mp3s?

 

There is a disclaimer on the site that says you should only use uncopyrighted videos with the service

 

Hmm, ok thanks. I won't be bidding due to the legal issues (The whole Tv-Links and Oink thing has shaken me away recently) I don't think a Disclaimer would really protect the site. However it's a great site and you've got a great job on it papa! Good luck!

The site does not condone copyright enfringement. It is there as a service to download original audio from videos. There are no legal issues here at all.

 

Who has the top bid of $2,500?
