We are about to experiment with adding some audio and video content to some of our landing pages to see if this will make google consider our content good enough to rank higher... has anyone had any measurable experience with this? It would seem logical that google would prefer a page with more variety of content, as opposed to a page simply stuffed with text and the odd image.
Content should at least be 600 words, reach out from your keyword, related content, Seo your page. get good links from good places. get localized or globalized. hope that helps.
hi skymaster , First of all I would like to say that your content should first serve your visitors or audience of your website. As far as the search engines especially Google is concerned, text is ranked and indexed well as compared to videos and audio content. With text content you have a better chance to convey your message to your audience while keeping the focus or target keywords in your content. But if your have good video titles, and nicely written descriptions you can still rank well with your video or audio content.
I suggest going over Google's guidelines on landing/sales pages to avoid getting penalized. Hope that helps. Have a good day!
