videos redirected to other site legal?

Hi I am new to this site and I couldn't find anyone I know personally that could answer this accurately.

I was beginning to think of starting a few pornographic sites. I do now know much about the business but I really need some extra money on the side.

My question is on various sites, they have videos that when clicked on, the user is redirected to another site hosting the video. Is this legal? Can someone have a site like this and still not have to pay for rights on the videos? Does the user have to give a "kickback" to the other sites he is redirecting visitors to? A good example would something like wide6.com or findtubes.com. Based on ther daily revenue (according to websiteoutlook) these sites do fairly well and appear to be lucrative businesses. However, how much of that revenue is profit? Someone please help out because I do not want to jump into something without knowing the odds and ends.

well they use affiliate links which are endores by the companies who distribute the content so you should read up on the individual rules of each affiliate program you use.

Well, you know what they say... sex sells. I may not have exact figures, quanzi87. But I can tell you this... you can make a living off it. Profits are substantial..

Hey thanks for the reply seomaker. How do I find out about these affiliate sites? Can I just do a google search? Also, do you know what programming languages I would need to use?

Hey thanks Alfonso and I do agree with you that sex does sell. However, porn sites are becoming very saturated these days. I read somewhere thay make up about 10% of all websites. There are some like xhamster.com that bring in ridiculous revenue and some that make less than a dollar a day. I understand I am joining a very competitive market but I was wondering what you think I can do to get my site out there. I am not looking to make millions because I am trying to be realistic but if I can make at least 2k a month from it I will be happy. I also have a close friend that is willing to invest in my site for advertising and pay 3k-5k a month for a few months to a year to really get it out there. Do you think these are realistic goals. Let me know what you think

There is no set languages you would need to know to be able to do it. Most affiliate links are little more than HTML but you will want to have some programming on your side to control what content is shown and any other functionality you may want to have.
