I've seen a few videos where people have video taped their web browsing and posted the video. Does this require any special programs to do or can it be done with just the standard programs already on my computer? I have a new iMac with iMovie installed. Will this be enough? Thanks.
I use a software called Camtasia Studio. which is very easy to capture the screen and convert to flash or video.
I'll second Camtasia Studio. I've been using it for about a year now and its a very easy to use, top of the line program. Dino
TechSmith, the makers of Camtasia Studio, also put out a product called "Snag-It", which costs $40 and can do the video screen capture. It lacks a lot of Camtasia Studio's editing features...but is good and on the cheap if you just want to capture screen action into video. It too can be downloaded for a free trial.
why would you need to make a video of your browsing? is there a way to create an advertising revenue of it? do share
Tons of ways to monitize screen cam videos. For example you could create photoshop tutorials (or some other popular program) and sell these. Create demos of other products and when the video finishes it forwards to your affiliate link for the product. Cut down on support requests and save lots of money by making video tutorials about your product. Add a screen cam video demoing your software product and increase conversions on your sales page and make more $ These are just the tip of the iceberg. Dino
dino: wow, totally under estimate video then, now I need to conjure some way to use it with my merchandise (which has nothing to do with computer
Yep video is already huge on the net and will get much bigger. What's do you sell out of curiosity? I might have some ideas for you on how to use video.
hmm ok fake watches. Yep thats a hard one =) This isn't to do with videoing browsing but one idea with video in general is you could have a funny video made involving your fake watches and submit it to youtube and other video sites. Maybe have a guy surrounded by nice women because of his fake rolex and make it cheesy. Then have your url show at the end. Could get a university film student to do the video. If it catches and spreads across the net you'll get a huge amount of traffic and that usually means more sales if your sales page converts.
nice idea, now all i need to do is find some students, and get the country i live in to cancel its ban on youtube...
