Hey! I believe that video is king when it comes to squeeze pages, compared to a sales letter that goes on and on and on. People aren't patient enough, not in my belief any way. Video on the other hand is visual and direct to the point if done right. But still some marketers use the sales letter for their squeeze pages, I wonder why. What's you guys take on this? Pat
I think people are more likely to watch a video before they read a long sales letter. Don't get me wrong, sales letter still work, but videos are very popular. Just my 2 cents....
there are many people who hate long sales pages but many more like them and the reason to use them is that they have good conversion rates.nowdays videos are getting more popular and at present video and long sales page are combined.many internet gurus are saying that after some time video will surpass these long sales page
Simply depends on the offer. If its an impulse buy, a salesletter may not be needed. If personalization is needed for the close, video FTW.
If it's something like an ebook on a make money subject then a long sales page is probably better especially if the price is high ($60 - 90). Most other things video is better but don't drag the video out. If it's boring or too slow people will click away. I had a video for a health related niche which I recorded myself in front of the webcam which got huge traffic. People like to see someone 'real' talk about their problem and how to resolve it, rather than pictures or powerpoint display.
I don't like videos much as you. I don't like to watch them and i myself trust articles more Videos can be helpful for some fields of business not for all.
Nothing better than long sales letter with big red headlines, payment proof screenshots, ferrari images and a big monster villa
Lol Mario.. well, i have to agree sales leters do convert better.., especially if you have a top copywriter, write it for you Of course videos are ok too.. but hmm.. they take a bit longer to explain the same thing a sales letter does.. and hmm.. On sales letters you can do split tests, and try to improve the conversions, by adding/ereplacing texts, colors.. But for videos.. it would be not so great. Just my 2 cents
yep, see Clickbanks current bestseller, blogging espionage...video + sales letter and it converts like hell.
I just started to experiment making a video. If you put in links in description area on the bottom of YouTube video, this will serve good marketing. I am looking for FUNNY videos in public domain (there is no need to worry about copy right). If I find on, I put in my site links and upload to YouTube.
