Dont know if i can get any help from this forum but one of my friends "private" video somehow ended up on a porn site (porncor.com). It was posted by someone who is out to hurt her. Is there a way we can get the video down? She has contacted the website admin and is yet to get a response, the website is being hosted by GODADDY.COM. Do you think Godaddy can help?

Suggestions are welcome, please and thanks

If your friend created the video then they have a copyright on the video. Looking at the site, porncor.com has a DMCA policy. Simply follow the instructions.

It is my experience that adult sites are among the most law abiding on the web. They know the law and follow it because if the are not squeeky clean they are targets due to the nature of their industry.

I don't think there is a way now, although you can better try website admin again n again.

Contact admin may work, or could be a waste of time; however, this person can contact the host, and
at the same time file a dmca notice, if they do not comply then, it could be possible they
loose their domain, depends if they want to take that chance or not, if dmca does not
help, then it would be a lost cause. You should not put such videos like that online
if you do not intend to release them or not, even private, I see no reason to put
sex/nude videos online, unless you want them out, because stuff like this can ruin
    your career one day...

    Think!!!!!

I think we need a link to the video to be able to make up our minds... j/k

Presumably your friend did not sign a model release form? That's actionable.

And, as has already been said, file a dmca take down notice.

And yes, Godaddy will help. As the upstream host they have an obligation to do so.

and if that does not work, contact an a lawyer and submit a judgement for the
domain, from what I hear it is easy as pie, why not own a porn domain for yourself ;)
