As a special offer for DP members I would like to offer my video transfer service from video tape to DVD.
As most DP members are webmasters, editors, seo pro's etc., I offer the final product either on DVD (encoded format), which you can watch in any home DVD player, or mpeg-2 for editing purposes on your computer.

    Formats Supported:

    • VHS
Any format of vhs is supported, ntsc & PAL from any country (pal-n, pal-m,
    secam, mesecam)
    • VHS-C
    • 8mm
    • Hi8
    • MiniDV
    • Betamax ($ 20 per tape)
    • Betacam (small format) ($ 25 per tape)

    * Price per tape - $ 15.00 (includes return shipping and handling), except for those with noted with diferent amount.
    * Service includes 2 hours per dvd / per tape. Additional DVD's will incur in a $10 additional charge. For example, if your tape has 6 hours in it, it will cost 15.00 + 10.00 + 10.00 = $35 (including return shipping).
    * Payment by Paypal.
    * Service includes shipping to the United States - add an additional $4 for other countries.
    * PM me if interested, I will provide mailing address and instructions.
    * If your tape is dirty or broken, we will fix it at no additional charge.
    * Turnover time is aprox. 7 days (after receipt of your tapes).

If you have any questions regarding other formats send us a message or post here and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

    Thanks,

Although I don't need your services (I can do most of those conversions myself), it sounds like you know what you're doing, and $15 USD is a good deal for people that can't do the transfers themselves.

But why make it US only? It only costs a few extra dollars to ship to 'the rest of the world'. If you're offering PAL conversions, the least you can do is let the PAL people send you their tapes :p

I appreciate your comments kerosene; in fact, I was hoping to get an inquiry on the subject, at which time I intended to explain what you said about the "few extra dollars".

Therefore, since the shipping issue has surfaced, let's say it's an additional $4.00 dollars per tape for service accross the globe (outside the United States).

    Thanks.
