I am curently working on a project that involves video streaming but unfortunately I have no ideea how video streaming works,I haven`t worked with anything like this before. I mean, how does a person show his/her webcam to his/her friend that lives in pakistan and dosen`t know how to use yahoo or any other 'show cam' program? How is it done? Also I would like to know the bandwidth information for such webcam-video-streaming.I have heard there are a few softwares that can manage your streaming so it improves your quality and in the same time it reduces the bandwidth it requires.I would also apreciate if someone would explain exacly how this is done without any 3rd party software. Thank you fr your time and I hope someone can clear things out for me. Best regards...
what are you trying to do exactly? a flash based player that loads as you watch it is most universal and bandwidth effective these days.
I want my friend in germany to see my webcam without using any 3rd party software like yahoo messenger or MSN.
I can't remember the component we used in the early days to do conferences. Started with windows 95 till windows 2000. Couldn't see this one on windows XP. It's a windows component where you input an IP to connect to and share videos, chat and voice messaging. If someone knows what I'm talking about just add more info. This might be helpful if an XP version is available for this component,
