Video Streaming - Embed Videos

    Hello,

I know that hosting copyrighted material is illegal.

However, is it legal to embed the videos? I take the videos from MegaVideo and Youku.

Is it legal what I do? Because as far as I'm concerned embeding or linking to a video is quite the same.

    Waiting for your replies.

    Regards,
    Rad

Embeding copyrighted material is still infringement. Just linking to copyrighted material can be contributory infringement.

This is still a hugely sketchy area in terms of law, the problem for people such as the MPAA is there are literally thousands of stream sites etc.

Really you should be fine with a stream ste ( with vids hosted elsewhere) as copyright companies etc have bigger fish to fry - eg. the link sources -- megavideo/youtube etc.
