Hi, I finally got around to cleaning up the act of a web site I purchased almost a year ago because I thought it has potential (and likely still does). I think I turned what was rather messy and dull web site into a real beauty, but that's not very modest of me. Anyway, I just wanted to show it off and see what you think.. I turned it from this (that domain is just an undeveloped placeholder for now) into this (VideoWorldSearch.com is the real site in question). I'm not sure I'll have time to work on it further though. Selling it might be an option. The dilemma is whether to do it now after a redesign or do some more for it (promotion etc.), see how it goes and then perhaps sell when it's even better. Opinions welcome.
Header is too big, and it covers almost 75% of the visible space. content can be moved to below header and header can be anything like welcome message of something about the services.
Thanks, I guess I could make the logo in the header a little smaller and the search area a little more compact. I was sort of following Google's example of having a big logo and search box below very prominently, but then again since results on this site display on the same page it probably makes sense to make the header areas a bit more compact. As for information.. maybe if there would be a blog I might add a box with a link to the recent entry or important articles, but otherwise it's pretty self-explanatory. The name of the site says what it's about.
