A little background before we get started. One of my primary promotion techniques is video blogging. I post videos to about 10 different video sites. Including youtube, metacafe, dailymotion, break, yahoo video, vimeo,,,,.

This morning I received an email from Metacafe saying that my video about "Planting watermelons" was rejected. In the Spring on 2008 - thats right, it was over 1 year ago - my wife and I planted some watermelon seeds. My wife filmed the video of me digging the holes, adding fertilizer and planting the seeds. The video was my own original production. It was filmed sometime around March or April 2008 and uploaded to several video sites at that time.

A review board - which is a group of volunteers - is supposed to review every video submitted to Metacafe before its published.

Getting the rejection email today means my video sat in the upload and review que for over 1 year.

So if your thinking of posting videos on Metacafe, keep this in mind.

Wow dude, thats insanely slow. Thanks for the advice, I never liked metacafe much, feels too "advertisy" but their revshare program was a good idea, and one of the first for video sites.
