Great list but remember, videos don't do well SEO-wise if you don't write about them as well. Search bots can't see the video and are only looking for on page text. Make it descriptive and at least 2-3 paragraphs long. (#5 - my bad - too many sites don't follow that one).

Video optimization - from a SEO point of view it is not all that great but then that should not deter you from using it. Adding a good description to the video should help you make the crawlers understand what the video is about, but since the crawlers can't see or hear the video, they are completely blind to it. Everything rests on your ability to describe it as best as you can. You tube is a good example.
